The best all-around cyclocross tire ever created excels in wet or dry, soft packed, rocky and root-infested courses, grass, and more. The Grifo features fast rolling knobs and a center section that offers excellent pedaling and braking traction.
This handmade TE (Team Edition) version combines a supple, 320TPI sealed corespun cotton casing with natural rubber SmartSoft tread for ultimate traction, cornering confidence and ride quality.
Challenge TLR cyclocross tires meet the new ETRTO and ISO standard and are hookless compatible, and are designed to be complaint with UCI tire-width rules with most rims having an internal rim width up to 23mm.

SERIES – TE (Team Edition)
Race Day Performance – The go-to for our professional athletes, TEAM EDITION tires are a step up in casings and compounds and are the ideal balance of features for special efforts.
CASING – Corespun Cotton 320TPI
Corespun Cotton with thread counts of 320-350tpi is naturally softer and more supple than polyester but is more likely to absorb water so we seal our cotton sidewalls for increased durability.
CASING PROTECTION – Standard
Our handmade Super Polyester, Corespun Cotton and Silk casings are tougher than Nylon and offer a margin of increased cut resistance when compared to standard vulcanized tires.
TREAD COMPOUND – SMARTsoft
A more compliant rubber compound fine-tuned by Cyclocross World Champions for a smooth ride and maximum grip. SMARTsoft is also used on the special tires we developed with British Cycling for their Track program.
PUNCTURE PROTECTION – PPS
Our Puncture Protection System (PPS) is a tough, tightly-woven fabric placed between the tread and casing to increase puncture resistance.
