The Gravel Grinder is our original and often-imitated fast gravel design. It combines a speedy diamond center for low rolling resistance with aggressive shoulder knobs that reliably hook-up when the terrain gets soft, muddy or a bit sketchy. 

This handmade PRO version combines a supple, 260TPI Super Polyester casing with our durable SmartPlus compound. A tubeless tubular is stitched closed like a regular tubular tire and glued to a tubular rim, but an interior coating makes an inner tube uneccessary, offering maximum protection from pinch flats or punctures when combined with Challenge Smart Tubeless Sealant

What are the features that make it awesome?

Everyday Luxury – Our workhorse handmade tire is the PRO series, delivering performance and ride feel unmatched by traditional vulcanized tires. Perfect for the rigors of daily riding.


Super Polyesters with higher thread counts of 220-300tpi make up our most affordable handmade casings. Polyester is much softer and stronger then nylon, is impervious to water and quite durable.


Corazza Silver is a bead-to-bead internal casing reinforcement that improves resistance to sidewall cuts and punctures that can occur on bad pavement or rough roads.


A tougher and more cut-resistant rubber compound for the demands of gravel and rough terrain. SMARTplus wears longer to keep tread edges sharper, improving confidence over mixed surfaces.


Our tires designed for use on rough roads, cobbles and gravel are built with an additional layer of PPS (PPS2) on the inside of the casing.
