Keeping air in your tires is a crucial part of any ride – we take several technological approaches to protecting your tires from road debris and sharp objects working through the tread, and we reinforce casings to resist cuts through the tire sidewall or bead. 

Puncture Protection Systems

PPS and PPS2

  • PPS

    Our Puncture Protection System (PPS) is a tough, tightly-woven fabric placed between the tread and casing to increase puncture resistance.

  • PPS2

    Our tires designed for use on rough roads, cobbles and gravel are built with an additional layer of PPS (PPS2) on the inside of the casing.

Casing Reinforcement Armor (Corazza in Italian)

SILVER and GOLD

  • SILVER

    Corazza Silver is double-layer casing reinforcement wrapped around the bead that improves resistance to sidewall cuts and punctures that can occur on bad pavement or rough roads.

  • GOLD

    Corazza Gold combines the Corazza Silver internal sidewall reinforcement with an additional bead-to-bead layer of tightly woven material reinforcing the entire casing.
