Gravel tread designed to take you beyond where the pavement ends, to where the terrain is less maintained. Its design includes a tightly packed, fast-rolling center for straight line control and speed, open transition knobs for either sandy or wet terrains, and more aggressive shoulder knobs for controlled cornering and stability in loose conditions.
With our RACE construction, we start where other tires stop - we utilize ultralight 120TPI Nnylon casings and superior tread compounds - to give our traditional vulcanized tires excellent ride feel and quality that is more affordable than our handmade offerings.
Challenge Race TLR tires meet the new ETRTO and ISO standard and are hookless compatible.

CASING – Nylon Superlight 120TPI
Vulcanized Nylon tire casings are the industry standard. Easy to produce and offering excellent durability and high performance at a moderate cost, they are the most common variety of tire available.
CASING PROTECTION – Standard
Vulcanized casings protect the nylon threads from the elements and offer standard pinch and cut protection.
TREAD COMPOUND – SMART-V
A specially formulated version of our SMART compound that is adapted to the different construction of vulcanized tires
PUNCTURE PROTECTION – PPS
Our Puncture Protection System (PPS) is a tough, tightly-woven fabric placed between the tread and casing to increase puncture resistance.
